TECH NOTES
Before installation, ensure the main engine ground on the thermostat housing (G101) is clean and securely attached. If this ground is missing or loose, starter current will backfeed through the PCM, instantly destroying the newly repaired board. Carefully handle the 30-year-old wire harnesses carefully to prevent brittle connector pins from bending or backing out.
